'A Ring of Protection'. It is said that in ancient Japanese cultures, a ring of bamboo would be planted around sacred buildings for protection. I loved this idea and felt inspired to play with the role of bamboo as a symbol of resilience and protection.
These bamboo rings are hand formed and carved in fine silver. Each of them has 22K gold burninshed into the metal, and a black patina added to pop the gold against the silver. They are all a little different in every way.
They are designed to be imperfect, half carved as clear bamboo, the other half melted and raw silver. They are meant to represent both parts within us - the outer polished appearances (personality) and the real inner raw self.
These cannot be sized. They can be custom made for your size though. Contact JO's to place an order.
